How It Works

Wear a swimsuit under loose clothes.
Arrive 10 minutes early to check in, ask questions, and get situated.
Cycle sauna → cold → repeat.
Hydrate.
Dry off, put on warm clothes.
Come again! -
Wear a swimsuit under loose clothes. Bring a towel to sit on inside the sauna, and another to dry off when your session ends. Bring a full water bottle and be sure to hydrate. Some sauna goers also like to wear a sauna hat to regulate body heat and protect their hair.

FarWell sauna is a walk-up location. You’ll find us just south of the Beach House at 57th Street Beach.
- Take the pedestrian underpass at 57th St.
- Head south along the lakefront path to 57th Street Beach.

FarWell is a traditional wood-fired sauna heated to 170–190°F. Sauna sessions are shared with up to 10 guests. Sauna goers may carefully use the ladle and bucket provided to pour water over the heated rocks on our traditional Kuuma stove. This produces löyly, the beloved steam experience inside a sauna.
